Il dipinto raffigura un fruttivendolo in abiti da bottega, con cappello, occhiali ed orecchino.
I soggetti del pittore erano principalmente di classe operaia di genere, al lavoro, spesso con un tocco di ironia.
I suoi dipinti freschi e popolari incontrano il gusto del mercato Europeo, molte sue opere sono conservate nella Pinacoteca civica di Bologna e al Museo Ravoltella di Trieste.

The painting depicts a greengrocer in shop clothes, with a hat, glasses and earring. The painter’s subjects were mainly working-class gender, at work, often with a touch of irony.
His fresh and popular paintings meet the taste of the European market, many of his works are preserved in the Civic Art Gallery of Bologna and the Ravoltella Museum in Trieste.
